2nd Cliffe Scout Group

Dear Parents,

We are continually aiming to raise funds to support our purchase of a new minibus and we have recently been asked to do some bag-packing for Tesco in Strood. We are looking for you and all of your Scouts, from whatever section, to support us in doing this.

We are looking to run two further days of bag-packing; Saturday 27^th March, Sunday 28^th March. We are hoping to use two shifts on each of the days; 10am until 1pm and 1pm until 4pm. Although whatever hours you are able to offer will be welcomed. Parental participation would be gratefully appreciated, particularly for the younger ones as they find it hard work but they are particularly valuable to raise funds; although they will never be left on their own and will be teamed with a Scout or Explorer. All sections should be in full uniform and T-shirts will be provided for parents.

If you are able to assist us, please can you email or phone me directly (jazzcat@tesco.net my number is on the letter that went home) stating which day and what time you or your Scout are able to help.

Lastly, may I ask that you arrive 5 minutes before your “shift” to ensure we are ready to start on time; we will meet by Customer Services.

Dear Parents,

To help to raise funds we are going to host a Family Fun Quiz on Saturday 13^th March 2010 at 6.30pm. All the family will be welcome along to have some fun, play some games and raise some money. Tables will cost £12 to sit a maximum of 6 people. Feel free to advertise this event to your friends and wider family. Please bring your selected beverages, nibbles and a smile

P.S. I would like to be able to hold a raffle during the evening and I would be very grateful if anyone works for a company that would be able to give us any prizes to have for this event. If you think your company would like to help us out I can provide registered charity numbers / a letter if you can give me the address to write to.
